ABOUT RUST Jewelry by TRACY KLAS

As a traveling musician and singer-songwriter, I was always wandering — through antique stores, along railroad tracks, at estate sales — gathering small forgotten things that felt like they still had a pulse. I started making jewelry for myself to wear on stage. One night someone asked if it was for sale, and everything shifted.

What I create now is deeply personal.

Each piece is a kind of meditation for me. I sit with the materials and wonder where they’ve been, who may have worn them, what stories they’ve carried. I don’t rush the process. I move things around slowly until they feel right — until the old and the new are in conversation with each other.

I believe in honoring what was before giving it a new life.

Over 500 one-of-a-kind pieces have left my hands over the years. Each one made intentionally. Each one meant for someone specific.

RUST is not mass produced. It’s gathered, considered, and reborn.
